Privacy
In short
Cardopedia is a free game with no accounts, ads or cookies. We don’t collect anything that identifies who plays.
What stays on your device
The game remembers your settings, such as the language, the difficulty, how long a wrong pair stays face up and whether sound is on. They are saved in your browser and never leave your device. Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes them.
What we may collect
To improve the game, we may collect anonymous data about how it is played: which topic, mode and difficulty are played, which cards are matched, how many moves and stars a round takes, when a round is left unfinished, and how fast the page loads. This data also says the type of browser, operating system and device, the screen size, and which page of the game it came from.
When something goes wrong in the game, such as an error or a sound or picture that doesn’t load, we may also collect a technical report of what went wrong, with the same browser and device details. It never says anything about the player.
It is collected without cookies by an analytics service in the European Union. Visitors are counted with a code that changes every day, so nobody can be recognised from one day to the next. IP addresses are not stored, and the data is kept for at most one year.
What we never collect
Names, email addresses, accounts, location, photos or typed text.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, which handles the technical data needed to deliver web pages, such as IP addresses, and keeps it only briefly for security.
Your choices
If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, the game collects nothing. For questions or requests, write to hello@cardopedia.org.
